The visa allows visa-free entry into the Schengen Area, family members can join, and you may even qualify for a 24% flat tax rate under the ‘Beckham Law’.

Requirements in 2026

Here are the key requirements to be considered for a Spain Digital Nomad Visa in 2026.

Minimum Income

To apply for a Digital Nomad Visa in Spain, you need to prove you have a stable monthly income from foreign sources of at least €2,849 per month as an individual.

That’s €34,188 per year, which represents 200% of the 2026 Spanish Minimum Wage.

Family Members

The 200% minimum salary applies to the principal applicant.

However, if you are bringing your spouse and/or children with you, you will have to increase the minimum income required.

• 75% more of the Spanish Minimum Wage (approximately €1,068 per month) for your first dependent.
• 25% more (approximately €356 per month) for each subsequent dependent.

Employment

You need to have been employed by your current employer or clients for at least three months, and the business you work for needs to have been in operation for a minimum of one year.

If you are self-employed, you are restricted to having no more than 20% of your total income earned from clients based in Spain.

Qualifications

To apply for the visa, you need a University degree or the equivalent professional qualifications, including at least three years of work experience in your profession.
